Ms. Annette M. Jackson-Taylor, a native of Kansas City, Kansas and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law. She was a trial attorney in private practice in Kansas City and served as staff counsel for the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitative Services and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Ms. Jackson-Taylor received the Award of Merit from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for litigation of an international custody dispute filed pursuant to the Hague Treaty. Her involvement includes many years of board membership service for organizations such as the American Red Cross, a battered wives’ shelter, Surviving the Odds, a breast cancer foundation serving minority women in the Kansas City area, and A. Lois Hightower-Jackson, Inc, a scholarship program serving greater Kansas City and the surrounding community.
